Community Sunday Potluck

February 24 is Community Sunday where our entire faith community, birth to adult, gathers together in one room for worship. We’ll have a delicious potluck soup and chili lunch after the worship gathering. Please bring the following to share, according to last name:
A—L Salad and Bread/Cornbread
M—Z Dessert
Please bring your food in disposable containers for easy cleanup! Thank you.

Denim Drive

Do you have any denim? Old jeans, denim shirts, or even fabric? Bring them for our Global Partners in Spain for sewing projects at The Friendship House. Bring denim, any condition, and deposit it in boxes in the lobby or upstairs by the office, by April 15. Questions? Call Judy Pinkerton at 503.901.6962.

Save the Date: Compassion Clinic SW!

Put Saturday, May 18, on your calendars for Compassion Clinic SW. This will be the sixth year that we, in partnership with other churches in our area, have provided this free dental/medical clinic to our neighbors. Hundreds of volunteers help make this a success and incredible blessing every year. Will you set aside your Saturday to serve? More details coming soon!

Manna Ministry

Manna Ministry is part of our Care Ministry and makes meals available to those in crisis. We’d love to have your help. Could you prepare an entrée to be frozen as part of our meal inventory? Could you be on-call to make a meal? If cooking is not what you do, money can be donated for someone to purchase a meal (no amount is too small). please contact Laura McDonald at 503.753.4179 if you can help in any of these ways or with questions.

Marriage Mentors

We at GPBC have a heart to strengthen marriages. Marriage Mentors are couples in stable, strong marriages who want to help other couples have healthy marriages. Although mentors are not licensed counselors, all receive training and provide significant support for couples in any relationship stage. Don't hesitate to reach out if your relationship is experiencing difficult challenges or you just want to experience renewal and refreshment. Fill out this form to start the process.

Fragrance Free Community

We desire for our community to be a safe place for everyone who comes to worship here. In consideration of those who suffer from fragrance allergies, we ask that you refrain from wearing scented products in the church building. Thanks so much!

The Pantry of Greater Portland

Are you or anyone you know in need of food assistance? We invite you to “shop” at our food pantry on Saturdays at 1:30pm. The pantry also accepts non-perishable food donations at any time. Drop donations off at the information booth in the lobby or at the office. Thank you!

Domestic Abuse: Free Faith-Based Class

The Oasis Bible Study is a free faith-based study to help educate and bring healing to women who are victims or survivors of domestic abuse. Any woman is welcome at any time, even if she just wants to learn more about domestic abuse to help others. This class is being held in Washington County.
